Hostlet Cloud Privacy Policy

Hostlet Cloud uses GitHub account information, selected repository metadata, deployment configuration, project health/deployment state, portfolio profile fields, and support messages to operate the service.

Public portfolio pages may show profile names, GitHub usernames, project names, source links when public, live demo links, screenshots, stack metadata, and customer-edited summaries.

Payments and subscription management are processed by Stripe. Hostlet Cloud stores Stripe customer/subscription references and plan status, not full card numbers.

Hostlet Cloud uses cookies for GitHub OAuth, signed-in sessions, and GitHub App installation flow security.

Hostlet Cloud shares information with service providers needed to operate the product, including GitHub for authentication/repository access and Stripe for billing. Public portfolio data is intentionally available to anyone with the profile or showcase URL.

You can permanently delete your Hostlet Cloud account and data at any time by emailing [email protected] with a deletion request. Deleting your account stops and removes your deployed apps and containers, cancels your Stripe subscription immediately, and removes your account, GitHub connection, portfolio, and usage records. Your account is locked the moment deletion starts; if any app is still finishing shutdown, the remaining data is removed automatically as soon as that finishes, with no further action needed from you.

We keep a minimal audit trail of account and deployment events for security and abuse-investigation purposes; entries are not tied back to a deleted account beyond an internal id. Off-host backups (stored with Cloudflare R2) are not retroactively edited and age out on their normal rotation schedule after deletion, so a deleted account's data may persist in a backup taken before deletion until that backup is rotated out. Stripe retains its own payment, invoice, and charge records under Stripe's retention policy, independent of Hostlet Cloud.

We aim to complete deletion or correction requests promptly; Hostlet Cloud is not currently a registered data controller under any specific data-protection regime, so treat this section as our operating commitment rather than a formal legal certification.
