Hostlet Cloud Terms of Service

By signing in with GitHub, creating an account, or otherwise using Hostlet Cloud, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We record the version of these terms and the time you accepted them against your account.

Hostlet Cloud provides managed deployment for supported GitHub repositories, always-on live-demo capacity, generated portfolio profiles, project showcase pages, and shareable portfolio and project links.

Hosted live demos are intended for lawful portfolio, class, hackathon, open source, interview, and customer demo use.

Customers sign in with GitHub and may install the Hostlet GitHub App to select repositories for deployment. Customers are responsible for repository access, project content, and required environment configuration.

You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly at [email protected] of any unauthorized use.

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Plan limits apply to simultaneous always-on hosted live demos. Generated portfolio profiles, showcase pages, and share metadata and portfolio/project links are included service features.

Customers can manage or cancel subscriptions through the Stripe billing portal when available or by contacting [email protected]. Fees are non-refundable except as described in our refund policy.

Hostlet Cloud builds and runs code you connect from GitHub inside containers on shared infrastructure we operate. You are solely responsible for the content, security, and behavior of that code and any data it processes.

You may not use Hostlet Cloud to deploy or run code or content that:

• is illegal, abusive, deceptive, defamatory, or infringes another party's rights (including intellectual property and privacy rights);
• contains malware, phishing, or is designed to attack, scan, or gain unauthorized access to other systems;
• attempts to bypass, disable, or escape container isolation, access the underlying host, other customers' deployments, or shared infrastructure without authorization;
• performs cryptocurrency mining, sends unsolicited bulk messages (spam), or otherwise abuses shared compute, storage, network, or egress capacity beyond your plan's intended use; or
• harasses, threatens, or targets any person or group.

We may suspend, disable, or remove deployments or content, and rate-limit or restrict accounts, that we reasonably believe risk the service, other customers, payment processing, or third parties, with or without prior notice.

Hostlet Cloud is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that hosted deployments, portfolio pages, or data will be preserved without loss. You use the service at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hostlet Cloud and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Hostlet Cloud and its operator for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid Hostlet Cloud in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100), whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hostlet Cloud and its operator from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) code, data, or content you deploy or run on the service; (b) your violation of these terms, including the acceptable-use section; or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

You may stop using Hostlet Cloud and cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal when available or by contacting [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your access to the service, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, for actual or suspected violation of these terms, non-payment, risk to the service or other customers, or if we discontinue the service.

On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately; hosted deployments, live demos, and public portfolio/project pages tied to your account may be taken down and associated data deleted. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (including the disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) survive termination.

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the courts located in [JURISDICTION], and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.

Hostlet Cloud may update features, limits, or these terms as the product changes. When we make a material change, we will update the version date above; continuing to use the service after a change takes effect, or signing in again, constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, which we record against your account.
